Hi, I’m Laurie, an artist with a passion for surface design, dry humor, and making the ordinary feel slightly more magical.
My creative vision is all about designing small moments of joy through handmade patterns, textures, and colors: something that makes you feel zen, laugh snort, and then slightly better about your life. I picture my work living in joyful little corners, gift shops, museum stores, beachside huts, on things like stationery, tea towels, and beach totes. Useful and beautiful.
I create patterns for print on demand products and have collections available for licensing, artwork meant to bring a bit of charm, texture, and everyday delight to the pieces they land on.
I like to experiment with traditional methods like silverpoint and fresco inspired materials (in whatever form my tiny apartment allows), bringing historic techniques into modern life and giving my designs a bit of bygone flair.
Off the canvas, I design digital spaces that are accessible, functional, and (dare I say) human for people with disabilities. I advocate for web accessibility and equal access, because good technology and good design should include everyone.
Let’s make something breezy and wonderful.
